$30 actually. For the new Snow Leopard.

You dont have to buy a new computer to update it. You just buy the new version which is usually about $30-$50. AND, the cool thing is, when you update a mac to a newer version, your computer actually gets faster (and gives you more hard drive space!) unlike PC's, which get incredibly slow. (remember getting vista and installing it on xp? yea, not fun lol)
